Paul Pogba may have found the net with the rebound to his own penalty, but the Frenchman made a mockery of himself through his run-up.

The Manchester United midfielder started the build-up to his strike from the edge of the box like any other penalty, but staggered his run so much that Usain Bolt would have crossed the finish line of a 100-metre sprint before Pogba made contact.

In total, the World Cup winner took 26 steps in a bid to psych out Jordan Pickford but failed miserably with England’s number one able to dive the right way and stop the initial effort.

Back in August, Pogba did convert a penalty against Leicester City in the third minute of the game when attempting a very lengthy stuttered run before smashing the ball into the top corner, but he must surely rethink his technique after Sunday’s blunder.
