A number of Everton players produced below-par displays against Liverpool on Sunday, including Yerry Mina who came under criticism from Toffees supporters on Twitter.

The Liverpool Echo reported that director of football Marcel Brands was influential in bringing the Colombia international to Goodison Park in 2018, and he has probably been one of their better players during what has been a disappointing 2019/20 campaign to date.

However, the 25-year-old looked particularly uncomfortable on the ball during the FA Cup defeat at Anfield, when the opposition attackers were pressing the backline.

The former Barcelona man has been a regular part of the defence this term, playing alongside both Michael Keane and Mason Holgate – it was the latter against Jurgen Klopp's men.

Given he stands at 6 foot 5 tall, the South American wasn't that comfortable in the air either, in what was an off-day – especially in the second half – for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

As you can see below, many were left unhappy with Mina, with one even describing him as a "Sunday League player".

Others went a little further by comparing Mina to Everton players past and present in Ramiro Funes Mori and Michael Keane, and not in a positive way.
