As Everton star Richarlison can probably attest to, the demands of learning a new language can be tough for football players attempting to perfect their craft on foreign shores.
But if enough work and commitment is put into the process, then the rewards both on and off the field are enormous.
And for Richarlison, that hard work is already paying off.
Not only is the young forward bagging goals left and right for Everton – having already scored a total of 11 goals and assisting four in the 2019/20 season – he’s also showing the willingness to improve his English.
The latest update of his studies had the fans absolutely buzzing and urging him to keep going…
Well in richy, keep going

Keep going that is brilliant 😊👊 do you feel confident yet to do an Interview in English or is that still a little bit away?

And this commitment he’s showing is directly mirroring his performances, as one fan has already noted, and this can only serve to ultimately make him a better player and a better teammate to his fellow Toffees.
One other supporter already sees him as someone who’s top of the class just for the effort he’s putting in…
Well in Richy. Commitment. Like your performances for the blues. NSNO.

Finally, it’s fair to say that not only is he improving himself, he’s also setting an example for professionals – not just footballers – far and wide who move overseas in search of employment.
Credit where it’s due.
What a great example you are setting here. Teachers, Parents and Guardians can tell the kids in their care that this is what a Premier League player does when he’s not banging in the goals. Proud to have you in the blue and white lad!
