Former Serie A wonderkid offered to Everton as Eto’o replacement

Everton have been offered the services of former AC Milan wonderkid Alexandre Pato as a possible replacement for the departed Samuel Eto’o, the Daily Mail reports.

Eto’o left the Toffees for Sampdoria this week after falling out of manager Roberto Martinez’s plans while struggling for form and fitness which saw him feature in only a handful of games this season.

But now Everton could solve his exit by signing Pato, who was also recently offered to Queens Park Rangers and an was attracting interest from Hull City.

The 25-year-old is now playing back in Brazil for Sao Paulo after leaving Milan in January 2013, with the Italian giants frustrated by his constant injury problems.

However it seems that the Brazilian has regained his fitness, managing to play 57 games for Corinthians in 2013 and 30 on loan at Sao Paulo by the end of last season.

The former prodigy has also managed to score 12 goals in all competitions, and his rejuvenated fitness could see him make a move back to Europe.
