Croatian striker Nikica Jelavic is wanted by German side Hamburg, the Mail has reported.
The Everton striker has been struggling for form of late at Goodison Park, and with a bid at £6m being the alleged figure offered by the German side, it is still unknown how Roberto Martinez will respond.
Martinez has already brought Arouna Kone with him from Wigan, and therefore this transfer window may well be the one where Jelavic departs.
Oliver Kreuzer told the newspaper ‘Jelavic would be exactly the right player for us. He is a really dangerous striker,” he said. “But we have to scrutinise whether it is financially possible.
‘I have heard that Everton’s new manager wants to sell him.’
Kone has been in inspired form for Wigan over the past couple of seasons, and therefore there is no doubt that the Spanish manager will prefer him to the Croatian.
Moreover, Everton are looking to stage an £850,000 bid for French Youngster Mory Kone. Selling Jelavic may well be one of Martinez’s ploys to gain funds and happily spend on this promising centre back.
