Romelu Lukaku has proven himself to be one of the finest strikers within English football in recent years, with the capability to become one of the best in the world, but he has some way to go ahead of him.
With Thierry Henry now on-board with the Belgium national team, the Arsenal legend can help guide the Everton striker into his best form and he told Sky Sports how the forward can improve. Quoted by Goal, the French striker said:
“For me it’s his ability to score goals when people aren’t feeding him. If he adds that to his game then he can be elite. He’s not far from it to be fair.”
Jamie Carragher then added his view on the Belgian striker, stating:
“If he continues to score goals he’s going to be talked about in the summer. If Everton can’t get close to Champions League then eventually he’ll go.”
Heavily linked with an exit from Goodison Park this summer, Lukaku could well be on the way out of the club next summer if the Toffees fail to qualify for European football.
