Hirving Lozano would transform Everton attack

With reports that PSV sporting director Marcel Brands will join Everton heating up, everything is falling into place for the Toffees to sign Hirving Lozano.

What’s the story?

According to the Daily Mirror, Marcel Brands is certain to become the new director of football at Goodison this summer.

On top of that, recent reports have linked Farhad Moshiri with super agent Mino Raiola, as the Everton owner looks to use Raiola to rebuild the Toffees’ squad.

With Brands almost certain to join and Moshiri in talks with Raiola, it seems like more than a coincidence that Lozano, who Brands signed for PSV, is now reported to be signing Raiola as his agent.

Add in the fact that both Everton and Arsenal have been heavily linked with the speedy winger before, and it seems almost inevitable that the Toffees will move for Lozano again this summer.

Good move to Merseyside?

Brands brought Lozano to the Eredivisie last summer and the speedy winger has terrified Dutch defences all season.

Playing mostly comfortably from either wing, the Mexican superstar has scored 16 and added eight assists in his 27 league appearances.

The 22 year-old’s incredible skill is accurately represented by his stats, as he averages an incredible 2.1 successful dribblers per game, along with 3.4 shots and 2.8 key passes.

Cenk Tosun will also be happy about the possibility of linking up with Lozano, as he averages 2.6 successful crosses per game.

With all the pieces lining up for the Toffees to move for the Mexican, he could bring incredible pace and end product to the Goodison front line.
