Everton will look to finish what has been a generally disappointing campaign on a high when they face West Ham United at the London Stadium on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday.

The Toffees would have expected to challenge the top-six clubs following a big summer of spending, but a disastrous start under Ronald Koeman saw them battling towards the relegation zone instead, before Sam Allardyce came in and dragged them away from the bottom three.

Despite looking likely to finish the season in eighth position the Goodison Park faithful are not happy with the 63-year-old and his style of football and want change this summer, and they let their feelings be known by booing their team at half-time and full-time in their 1-1 draw at home to a struggling Southampton last weekend.

It seems more and more apparent that this could be Allardyce's final match in charge of the Merseyside outfit – who were linked with a move for FC Porto coach Sergio Conceicao this week – despite the fact that his contract isn't due to run out until next summer, and if that proves to be the case there will be a lot of relieved fans when the full-time whistle is blown in east London.

The former England boss made two enforced changes from the win against Huddersfield for the visit of Mark Hughes' men last time out as Yannick Bolasie and Tom Davies replaced the injured duo of Theo Walcott and Wayne Rooney, and he could be considering making further alterations on Sunday.

Here is how Everton must line up against West Ham, ahead of Jordan Pickford in goal…

The fact that Everton have little to play for means that Allardyce has the opportunity to give some fringe players an opportunity to impress at the London Stadium.

While he should stick with Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines at full-back, as well as Phil Jagielka in the centre in what could possibly be his last appearance for the club if he moves on this summer, he give the 35-year-old a new partner for this one.

While Keane has been much-improved in recent weeks, Allardyce will know that he should be a regular next season whoever is in charge, and the clash against the Hammers is a chance to give Ramiro Funes Mori a start and see if he can make an impact for them next term.

Morgan Schneiderlin and Idrissa Gueye are two more players that have been performing much better in recent weeks following disappointing seasons in general in terms of displays, but the Merseyside outfit have other individuals they need to look at ahead of next season.

One of those is Davy Klaassen, who has endured a nightmare campaign following his move from Ajax last summer.

His substitute appearance against Southampton last week was just his second in the Premier League since September, and he deserves an opportunity from the start alongside Gueye in the middle of the park at the London Stadium.

Allardyce admitted at his pre-match press conference on Friday that Everton need to sign a new centre-forward this summer who can scored 15+ goals in a Premier League season, and with Cenk Tosun, Oumar Niasse and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in their ranks already, it would suggest one has to go.

That individual is likely to be Niasse who despite his decent goalscoring record this term having been brought in from the cold by Ronald Koeman last year, has largely been reduced to substitute appearances since Tosun's arrival in January.

The Senegal international should start in a front four with the returning Theo Walcott and Yannick Bolasie on the flanks, and with last week's goalscoring hero Tom Davies behind him.
