How Everton must line up when they host Crystal Palace on Saturday
Everton will look to bounce back from their 5-1 defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last weekend when they host Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The Toffees looked to be on the up under Sam Allardyce after an impressive run of form in November and over the festive period, but ever since a 2-1 loss against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on December 30 they have been struggling.
They have been beaten by Manchester United, Liverpool in the FA Cup, Tottenham Hotspur and the Gunners since then – with the latter two 4-0 and 5-1 losses on the road – although they have taken four points from the last six available at Goodison Park against West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City.
While the Merseyside outfit currently lie seven points above the relegation zone, manager Sam Allardyce will be well aware that they can’t afford to be too complacent, and they will want to pick up the points that will guarantee their survival as soon as possible.
The former England boss probably wants to make wholesale changes following the heavy reverse against Arsene Wenger’s men, and he will likely change the formation having initially lined up with 3-4-2-1 system in north London.
