Everton are in desperate need of some more pace and firepower up front, so should they make a shock swoop for Javier Hernandez?

According to one popular West Ham insider, Hernandez’s future in East London is still in doubt.

The Mexican striker was cast aside under David Moyes, and despite Manuel Pellegrini wanting him at the club, the striker “has yet to commit his future” to the Hammers.

Everton of course have Cenk Tosun up front, but should Marco Silva make a move for Hernandez?

The “little pea” has scored an incredible 49 goals in 100 Mexico caps, and still managed eight Premier League goals last year in a tricky season with West Ham.

Silva will need more firepower up front if he is to fulfil his promise to the fans of exciting football, and having two lethal finishers in the squad with Hernandez and Tosun would give the Portuguese tactician a lot more options.

The 30 year-old Hernandez is seemingly unhappy in East London, and only has two years left on his contract. He is quite simply a goalscoring machine when he is at his best, and would be an incredible coup for the Toffees.

So, Everton fans, should you make a shock swoop for Hernandez? Would he be the perfect compliment to Tosun? Let us know by voting in the poll below…
