HYS: Was Huddersfield display the last straw for Lookman at Everton?

Reports by German media outlet Kicker, via The Liverpool Echo, claim Red Bull Leipzig are no longer interested in Everton’s Ademola Lookman, but should the Toffees be looking to cash in on the winger?

Through most of the summer, Everton fans were desperate to keep hold of Lookman, as the winger seems to have all the tools to become a top player.

However, as the summer dragged on and the 20 year-old was nowhere to be seen in pre-season, fans started to feel like he no longer wanted to be at the club.

The youngster did nothing to quash those concerns on Saturday either, as fans crucified his lack of effort in the 1-1 draw against Huddersfield.

Lookman replaced Theo Walcott after the England international suffered a knock, but frankly it seemed like he didn’t want to be there.

According to Ronan Murphy, Red Bull Leipzig are expected to sign two players in January, but neither of them are Lookman.

Reports have claimed the Bundesliga outfit were willing to pay as much as £25m for the winger this summer, which seems too good to be true for a player showing signs of a poor attitude.

With Richarlison hitting the ground running and Bernard ready to make his mark, Everton should be looking to grab that £25m in January and run.

So, Everton fans, do you agree that Lookman should go in January? Is there still hope for the youngster at Goodison? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
