Everton have finally signed the centre backs they so desperately needed, but who should be the first choice pairing this season?

The Toffees were extremely busy on deadline day, signing some real bargains like Andre Gomes and Brazilian international Bernard.

However, pretty much every fan would agree that centre backs were the top priority this summer, and they ended up signing two highly rated beasts.

Kurt Zouma will join on a one-year loan deal, while Yerry Mina has joined permanently from Barcelona.

Michael Keane was a big money signing last season, and the Toffees have suddenly gone from being dangerously thin at the back to loaded with options.

Presuming Marco Silva doesn’t change everything he knows and switch to a back three, at least one of them will start on the bench this season.

Zouma and Keane have the Premier League experience, but Mina has more international pedigree.

One thing that separates the trio though is pace, as Keane’s lack of speed combined with his poor positional sense cost the Toffees on more than one occasion last season. Therefore, the double deadline deal could be very bad news for the 6 ft 3 ace, and could even end his chances of becoming the main man at Goodison.
