After the summer transfer window came to a close, Everton manager Marco Silva had a handful of defensive options to choose from.

The Portuguese coach recruited Yerry Mina and Kurt Zouma, and he already had Phil Jagielka, Michael Keane and Mason Holgate at his disposal.

In the early stages, Silva tried to figure out his best partnerships and in recent fixtures, Keane and Zouma have been the chosen pair.

Mina had to spend the early stages of the campaign on the sidelines due to injury, but he has since made his debut, which leaves the manager with a predicament.

Zouma has done well alongside Keane, but he is only at Goodison Park on a temporary basis.

The defender is expected to return to Chelsea at the end of the season as his current arrangement is a loan.

With that in mind, the 24-year-old Mina should take the first-choice position, leaving Zouma as back-up. Do you agree?
