Instead of warming the bench at Tottenham, Bissouma should head to Everton

Everton are interested in signing Lille midfielder Yves Bissouma, according to France Football, as cited in SportWitness.

What’s the story?

The 21-year-old has played for Lille since 2016 and has gone on to make 47 Ligue 1 appearances for the French side.

Lille endured a torrid season under Marcelo Bielsa and it looks like they might need to raise funds this summer through selling players.

According to France Football, one of the players who might be sold is Yves Bissouma who is valued at £7.2million on Transfermarkt.

Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are the two clubs most interested in the central midfielder according to the report.

Why should he choose Everton?

Bissouma looks like he could be a quality central midfielder who offers power as well as composure on the ball and the ability to nick a goal.

Realistically he isn’t going to get much of a look-in at Spurs next season, with Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama, Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Christian Eriksen likely to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Meanwhile if he heads to Everton, he could slot straight into the starting line-up and make the position his own.
