Phil Jagielka insists he has no desire to leave Everton during the summer transfer window.
Following David Moyes’ decision to leave Everton for Manchester United there has been speculation a number of the club’s star players could decide to move on in the summer.
Jagielka, however, insists he has no desire to leave Everton in the transfer window and hopes to remain as the club’s captain under whoever is installed as the new manager next season.
When asked if he still saw his future at Everton, the England defender replied: “Yes, definitely.
“I was made captain for next season when David Moyes was in charge.
“We will have to wait and see what happens with the new manager, but hopefully he will keep me in that role and it is something that I am looking forward to doing.”
