Martinez… lets look at the Everton XI you could have had

New Everton boss Roberto Martinez made a fair few astute signings this summer, the majority of whom came from former club Wigan. Overall, the Spaniard has spent just £18million on six players, as he attempts to rebuild at Goodison Park following Marouane Fellaini‘s departure to Manchester United.

But it hasn’t been all plain sailing for the Toffees this summer as they kick off a new era on Merseyside, and there were plenty of players from across Europe linked with a Goodison move that eventually slipped away.

So here’s a select XI, fielded in one of Martinez’s funky 3-4-3 formations, filled with promising talent that the Everton boss failed to sign this summer, despite his interest being well-known.
