Pundit wants new Everton manager ‘pronto’

Everton finally got back to winning ways at the weekend when they came from behind to seal a 3-2 victory over Watford at Goodison Park.

David Unsworth oversaw the match, which was his fourth since taking over from Ronald Koeman on a temporary basis.

The Under-23s coach was in charge when the team were knocked out of the Carabao Cup and eliminated from the Europa League.

The 44-year-old has publicly stated that he wants the job on a permanent basis, but that eventuality is unlikely given that numerous names have been linked to the role.

With the international break here, it gives the board an opportunity to assess their options.

Kevin Campbell, who spent six years playing for the Toffees, believes that the Merseyside outfit should hire a new boss as soon as possible.

As it stands, Everton are 15th in the Premier League table, just two points above the relegation zone after winning three of the club’s 11 fixtures.
