Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne has reached a stage where he must secure a move away from Anfield as soon as possible to find regular football elsewhere and get his career back on track.

Wales Online recently reported that Cardiff City are interested in bringing the 27-year-old in on loan in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Reds' manager, Jurgen Klopp, would likely allow Clyne to leave the club in January, given that the 14-cap England man is clearly surplus to requirements. However, he should have his sights set much higher than Neil Warnock’s struggling Bluebirds.

What’s more, clubs higher up the Premier League table ought to be interested in securing the defender’s services. Despite Clyne’s Liverpool ties, the Toffees would be wise to try and keep the outcast right-back on Merseyside.

Plenty of Everton fans seem keen on bringing Clyne to Goodison Park. Of those who took part in our poll, 55% urged Marco Silva to raid Anfield for the former Southampton star. See the full results below.
