Muhamed Besic’s future at Everton looked bleak in the summer due to the fact that he had dropped down the rankings.
With Marco Silva taking over as manager, though, it gave the fringe players an opportunity to impress.
Besic spent the second half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough, and he decided to return to the Riverside on a season-long loan arrangement for the 2018-19 campaign.
Since moving back to Boro, the midfielder has made 12 appearances in all competitions and has contributed with two goals and two assists.
Besic is becoming an important member of Tony Pulis’s team, and according to The Mirror (November 4, page 67), talks with the midfielder’s representatives have begun regarding a permanent deal.
Silva has plenty of midfield options at Goodison Park, but we asked you whether it was worth the club giving Besic another chance next season.
Interestingly, a small majority think that his time at Everton is over, while a group of fans believe that Besic still has something to offer on Merseyside.
