Revealed: 59% of Everton fans want Obiang swoop

Everton fans have been discussing making a move for Pedro Obiang, and fans are split on a shock swoop for the West Ham ace.

Everton have finally got their summer business started with moves for Richarlison and Lucas Digne in recent weeks.

However, it’s pretty clear that they are still one or two signings away from being where they want to be, particularly down the spine of the team.

A centre back is the top priority, but central midfield is in need of some new life as well, with players like Morgan Schneiderlin and Tom Davies taking plenty of stick for their performances last season.

West Ham’s Obiang could be available, as the Hammers’ impressive summer business could conclude with a complete overhaul of their midfield.

The East Londoners sold Cheikhou Kouyate to Crystal Palace last week, and Sky Sports have reported “advanced talks” with Sampdoria over a deal for Obiang.

If the Spanish midfielder is on the market, Everton could do a lot worse than offering him the chance to stay in England, and the slight majority of fans want to see that happen.
