Morgan Schneiderlin joined Everton from Manchester United in January 2017 for an initial fee of £20 million – a little more than his current £18 million Transfermarkt valuation. The move brought the Frenchman’s frustrating spell with the Red Devils to an end.
Schneiderlin has been a regular fixture in the Toffees’ engine room since his arrival and made thirty league appearances last time out. However, he is yet to rediscover his best form which saw him earn his move to Old Trafford in the first place and receive his call ups to the French national squad.
The 28-year-old has maintained his place in the side for the start of this new season under Marco Silva too, but with summer arrival Andre Gomes on his way back to fitness, Schneiderlin’s days in the first choice XI could be numbered.
Certainly, many of the Goodison Park faithful are not convinced that Schneiderlin deserves a place in their side. Whilst 31% of those we polled consider him to have been a great buy, 69% labelled him a total flop. See the full results below.
