Revealed: 69% of Everton fans want Marco Silva to sign Callum Wilson

With £27m centre-forward Cenk Tosun having flopped at Everton, and Richarlison having to currently play out of position – albeit impressively – up front for the Toffees, Marco Silva is likely to want to sign a new striker as soon as possible.

Given the Merseyside club’s bitter experience with Tosun, Silva ought to target a forward who has already proven himself to be potent in the Premier League.

Callum Wilson, currently impressing with Bournemouth and ready to take the next step up in his career, is the perfect candidate to lead the line at Goodison Park.

The 26-year-old has already racked up six goals and five assists in the Premier League this season. However, in order to land the Cherries’ front man in January, Everton would likely have to pay a fee far in excess of Wilson’s £13.5 million Transfermarkt valuation.

Many Toffees fans feel that would be money well spent though, with 69% of those who voted in our poll in favour of making a move for Wilson. See the full results below.
