Everton fans have been discussing a move for Porto striker Moussa Marega, and the overwhelming majority of fans would love to bring the powerful striker to Goodison.

According to Jornal de Notícias (via Sport Witness), any clubs interested in the electric Marega this summer will have to trigger his €40m (about £35m) release clause.

Marega was linked with a move to Everton earlier this year, and the report names both the Toffees and West Ham as interested parties, as well as Chris Hughton’s Brighton.

The player wants to leave Portugal to take the next step in his career, so it’s now really just a matter of whether teams are willing to trigger the release clause.

Marega is extremely versatile, so he could play up front with Cenk Tosun, up front on his own, or even on the wing in a 4-3-3.

The 27 year-old scored an incredible 22 goals in 29 league appearances last season, so it’s no surprise fans are heavily in favour of bringing him to Merseyside.

A whopping 79 per cent of fans said they should take the £35m plunge, and you can find the full poll results down below…
