As reported by The Sun, Everton are one of the teams interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose this summer.
The paper reckon that Spurs value him at around £40m, which would represent a significant outlay for the Toffees should they choose to pursue his signature.
Rose has had a difficult season at Spurs, starting just nine English Premier League matches. Much of that lack of action has been due to injury, but there are definite question marks about his future in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven.
With Everton looking for a long-term replacement for the ageing Leighton Baines, Rose could be an excellent acquisition if they manage to pull a deal off.
Fans certainly appear keen, responding to a poll we published earlier this week. A massive 80% back a move for the England international.
Can the club now push on and get the deal done?
