Revealed: 87% of Everton fans want to break the bank for Rashford

Jamie Carragher has suggested that Marcus Rashford leave Manchester United to play as a central striker, and a huge majority of Everton fans think they should break the bank for the 20 year-old.

Rashford was handed the nod to play up front in both of England’s matches over the international break, and the pacey Manchester United youngster was absolutely electric.

His finishing wasn’t perfect, as he could have had a hat trick against Spain, but his habit of being in the right place at the right time shows exactly how good he can become as a central striker.

Jose Mourinho is clearly a big fan of Romelu Lukaku though, so it seems like Rashford will have to continue on the wing if he stays at Old Trafford, as Carragher pointed out on Sky Sports.

Lukaku is in front of Rashford and I don’t see Rashford displacing him as long as he is there,” Carragher said.

“But remember when Lukaku was at Chelsea and he had to come away and go to Everton. Then he ended up as top scorer and got his move to Man United.

“Possibly Everton is the sort of club you are looking at, just below the top six, for someone like Rashford, similar to what Lukaku did.”

Everton signed Cenk Tosun in January, but the Turkish international hasn’t found the net yet this season, and a whopping 87 per cent of fans think they should move for Rashford.
