Everton are in desperate need of a clinical goalscorer to finish off their new-look attack, and a huge 91 per cent of fans think they should sign former Liverpool target Alex Teixeira.

Everton have won two games on the bounce for the first time under Marco Silva, and it’s due in no small part to the form of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Bernard and Richarlison.

The Brazilian duo in particular have brought a new sense of excitement back to Goodison, something that quite simply just wasn’t there under Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce.

While Richarlison has managed four goals in six games, the Toffees can’t rely solely on the youngster for goals, which is why a move for the versatile Teixeira makes perfect sense.

The speedy Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in 2016, but eventually moved to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning instead.

He has scored 42 goals and added 26 assists in 96 games since moving to China, and his mixture of speed, dribbling ability, vision and work rate would make a devilish trifecta with Richarlison and Bernard.

A whopping 91 per cent of fans think they should bring him back to Europe, and you can view the full poll results down below…
