According to reports in The Sun on Sunday on June 3, new Everton manager Marco Silva wants £50m-rated West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic to spearhead his side's attack next season.

The Portuguese boss will already have the additions he wants to make this summer in mind as he looks to ensure that they Merseyside outfit improve and can finally challenge for a top-six finish next term, and he believes that the Austria international's pace and power up top would be vital for them.

However, adding the 29-year-old – who is also a target for Manchester United according to The Sun on Sunday – to his squad would come at a club-record price, which would no doubt concern the Goodison Park faithful given a number of their big-money signings from last summer ultimately failed to live up to expectations.

We asked Everton fans to vote on our poll to see whether they would be happy for their club to spend £50m on Arnautovic this summer, and a huge 75% said they wouldn't be.

Perhaps those supporters feel that the Toffees should be getting more for their money than a player who turns 30 years of age next year, and who only has 33 goals from his five seasons in the Premier League with Stoke and now the Irons.
