Everton could find themselves in a tricky position come the end of the season.

Andre Gomes moved to Goodison Park from Barcelona in the summer on a season-long loan.

The midfielder had to wait for his debut due to injury, but since returning to fitness he has heavily impressed the Toffees' faithful.

It would be no surprise if Everton tried to make his temporary arrangement permanent at the end of the campaign, but there are question marks over whether they will be successful.

If not, then manager Marco Silva may have to look at other options, and according to The Mirror, the Toffees are keeping a close eye on Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

It is believed that Everton have send scouts to watch the 21-year-old on a handful of occasions ahead of a potential move, but they are likely to face plenty of competition for his signature.
