Many people scoffed when Richarlison joined Everton for around £40m from Watford in the summer.
The 21-year-old impressed during his time at Vicarage Road, but it was difficult to see how he warranted such a high figure.
It turns out, though, that the Brazilian has been one of Everton’s best summer signings having scored three goals in four Premier League matches.
Richarlison also impressed on the international stage by scoring twice after making his debut for Brazil.
Marco Silva is blessed with attacking talent on the flanks, as well as in midfield, but they do not have the most prolific recognised strikers.
With Cenk Tosun struggling to make an impact, there have been calls for Everton to dip into the January transfer window.
Judging by the outcome, plenty of Everton fans would be delighted if the Brazilian was put in a more advanced position.
