The absence of a dependable, experienced and potent front-man was deemed a major factor behind Everton's struggles earlier this season, with Ronald Koeman believing his sacking in October was directly linked to the club's failure to sign Olivier Giroud during the summer.

Successor Sam Allardyce was quick to arrest that problem, bringing in 25-cap Turkish international Cenk Tosun as his first Everton signing after the 6 foot striker netted 64 times in 142 appearances for Besiktas. He should give the Toffees a new focal point in attack for the remainder of the season.

But Everton's tough trip to Wembley on Saturday may not be the best time to bring Tosun into the starting XI. Tottenham boast one of the best defences in the Premier League and especially when arriving midseason, new signings usually need time to settle into their new team.

At the same time, Dominic Calvert-Lewin certainly hasn't proved a bad option this season. While his lack of experience has shown at times, he's still found three goals and four assists in the Premier League and played a key part in some of Everton's biggest results of the campaign.

With that in mind, we asked Toffees supporters earlier this week whether Tosun or the 20-year-old, who lead the line last time out against Liverpool, should start in Saturday's 5.30pm kickoff. And according to our poll, the vast majority - 81% - want to see the January signing make his full debut.
