Saints, Stoke and Everton chasing versatile international, club ready to sell

According to reports from The Daily Mail, Everton, Stoke City and Southampton are all targeting Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo for a summer transfer.

The 22-year-old is highly-rated and has picked up two caps for the Netherlands international team since a 2014 debut, after representing his country a whopping 41 times at youth level.

The versatile defender can operate as a left-back or a centre-back and was in fine for for Feyenoord last season, averaging three tackles and two interceptions per match from 29 Eredivisie outings.

But according to The Daily Mail, Feyernood are ready to cash-in on Kongolo – perhaps due to his contract entering its final two years – as they look to strengthen in other departments.

The De Kuip outfit rate the youngster at £10million and three Premier League clubs are reportedly chasing his signature – Everton, Stoke City and Southampton.

The Toffees and the Saints are expected to make significant changes to their first team squads this summer after appointing new managers in Ronald Koeman and Claude Puel respectively.

Stoke, meanwhile, are looking to build upon the glimpses of brilliance they produced at times last season.
