Everton so far this season have not been able to boast about individuals in great form.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has just three league goals in 10 games and experienced players such as Fabian Delph have struggled to make their mark on the team.

However, as of late, Marco Silva finally has a tough decision to make between two men who are beginning to build on some decent form – Gylfi Sigurdsson and Alex Iwobi. Sigurdsson impressed for Iceland over the break and scored against Moldova, whilst Iwobi bagged for Nigeria against Lesotho.

The two have been battling amongst each other for the number 10 spot and who Silva decides to play there could be a crucial factor in the must-win against Norwich City. There is little to separate the Nigerian and the Icelandic, as both players boast a 6.70 rating in the league and have two goals each to their name.

Iwobi does, however, possess more pace than Sigurdsson, but it can easily be argued that the former Tottenham Hotspur man can bring more goals. Last season, Everton’s number 10 scored 13 league goals, which was much higher than Iwobi’s three league efforts for Arsenal.

The tie against Norwich is simply a must-win for Silva. A loss for the former Watford man and he would struggle to justify his worth on Merseyside. Should he win, however, Everton could climb into the top half of the table if other results go their way.

After the visit of the Canaries, Silva and his men face a frantic period in which they have a Carabao Cup quarter-final plus seven other tricky fixtures to deal with in the month of December.

Three points against Norwich are a must and the performance of either Sigurdsson or Iwobi could ultimately determine the end result.

Silva has a huge decision to make regarding the pairing ahead of the weekend in what is a nice dilemma to have.
