Everton owner Farhad Moshiri, director of football Marcel Brands and new manager Marco Silva may well be identifying players to come in – one of which is a powerful attacker who bosssed Michael Keane and Phil Jagielka in 2018 – and sort the problem positions they have in the team already, but perhaps it isn’t an issue that they need to throw big money at.
Moshiri would have been expecting big things from the Merseyside outfit during the 2018/19 campaign following a big summer of investment, but instead they struggled under Ronald Koeman before his replacement Sam Allardyce eventually steered them to an eighth-place finish in the Premier League.
