Everton forward Cenk Tosun should consider his options when the January transfer window opens after poor individual start to the season.

What's the word?

The Turkey international signed for the Merseyside outfit in January with the hope of  becoming the team's main goalscorer.

Last season, Tosun made 14 appearances in all competitions and scored five goals in that time.

That return is not the most impressive, but he has been backed by manager Marco Silva so far in the 2018-19 campaign.

The striker has featured in all four of Everton's Premier League matches and he has contributed with two assists, but no goals as yet.

Should Tosun be worried?

There is still plenty of time until January for the Turkish attacker to find his rhythm.

However, as the season progresses, if Tosun continues to struggle in front of goal, Silva has other options that he can turn to.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ademola Lookman and Theo Walcott could all be used in attack.

In addition, Richarlison is predominantly a winger, but his recent scoring antics make him a viable candidate for a position further forward.

If Tosun's game time decreases, he should consider moving on to pastures new.
