Everton forward Cenk Tosun has insisted that he is now ready to make his mark for the Toffees following a tough start to his career at Goodison Park.

The Merseyside club paid Besiktas £27m to sign the Turkey international in the early stages of the January transfer window.

Tosun started back-to-back matches against Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion, but has been an unused substitute in two of the team's last three Premier League matches.

Everton have recently been away on a training camp in Dubai, with head coach Sam Allardyce hoping to boost his squad for the final months of the 2017-18 campaign.

After a brief settling-in period, Tosun has said that he is 'more comfortable now', and the Turk has vowed to hit the goal trail for the Toffees in the coming weeks.

Tosun told Everton's official website:

“The Premier League is more physical than how the game is played in Turkey, but I like this. I really enjoy the high-tempo of the game here. It’s hard physically, it’s a tough game, but I embrace this.

"The first few weeks were difficult maybe for my body and the adjustment, but I can feel already that I’m adapting and I’m more comfortable now.”

Tosun scored eight league goals for Besiktas in the first half of the season, and also netted four times in six Champions League group matches.

Everton will return to Premier League action with a trip to Watford on Saturday afternoon.
