It's been one of the big never ending sagas of the transfer window so far but Everton finally completed the signing of Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United on Thursday night.

As reported by the BBC, the French midfielder has moved for a fee that could reach £24m, within touching distance of the £25m Man United paid for him from Southampton in 2015.

Schneiderlin had failed to find his way into Jose Mourinho's plans this season, failing to make a single Premier League start under the new Manchester United boss.

For the Red Devils it's a very good piece of business indeed for a player who is surplus to requirements.

For Everton too, this could prove to be a good deal. Schneiderlin is a very effective defensive midfielder, one of the most consistent over the last half decade and he should add some fight and determination in the middle of the park.
