On Sunday, the world celebrated Father’s Day and many professional footballers took to social media to express their best wishes to their dads.
Yannick Bolasie, the returning Everton’s loanee, did the same and shared an inspirational message to go along with his Instagram snap. This, of course, did not go unnoticed and some Premier League teammates and rivals alike responded to it quickly.
Jack Wilshere, the 27-year-old West Ham midfielder, was clearly impressed and inspired by Bolasie’s statement snap and he took to social media to show his support and affection with a series of emojis.
But this message also seemed to get to the younger crop of players such as Anthony Gordon, the 18-year-old from the Toffees’ academy, who was also prompted to tell Bolasie how much of an inspiration he is to the youngsters.
Bolasie’s loan at Anderlecht has come to an end and he will rejoin Everton soon. During his half-season stay in Belgium, he scored an impressive four goals and assisted one in the span of only seven games.
