Ex-Manchester United Chief does little to calm the storm at Old Trafford..

Having claimed that Manchester United have been underachieving this season, David Gill has hardly quietened the speculation around Louis van Gaal’s future at Old Trafford.

Gill, when speaking to the BBC, brutally criticised the style of football that Van Gaal’s team have been producing and was very critical of the results that his former club have managed this season, considering the huge amount of investment.

Fans have been wondering how their club let such a central figure leave and have been left with the comical showing from Ed Woodward and Van Gaal.

Gill opted to go out to the cinema last night instead of watching his former club on Match of The Day and he was pretty damning in his comments on the style of football.

Gill said, ‘I’m not going to sit here and say that it is attractive’, but a lot of the fans didn’t take the calls for calm in the interview too well.

Gill might not be calling the shots any more, but his words have not relieved any pressure on Van Gaal’s future.
