Aston Villa are having one of the worst seasons in a while, with the Midlands club bottom of the Premier League table with just six points from the opening 15 games.
They are seven points from safety, and six behind 19th place Sunderland heading into the middle part of the campaign.
And it doesn’t get much easier for the Villans, with Arsenal travelling to Villa Park this Sunday.
The Gunners will be buoyant after beating the odds to qualify for the Champions League knock-out phases following a 3-0 victory away to Olympiakos, with star striker Olivier Giroud scoring a hat-trick.
Arsene Wenger’s men also put another relegation battling side to the sword the previous weekend, beating Sunderland 3-1 at the Emirates.
Another victory for Arsenal will see them leapfrog Leicester City to the top of the table, with the Foxes playing English champions Chelsea in a Monday night game.
