With the end of the Premier League season fast approaching, things are really starting to hot up in the Fixture In Focus studio.

Last week’s Fixture In Focus, Chelsea vs West Ham, turned out to be something of a Monday night thriller, especially in the second half when it wasn’t clear where the next goal would come from.

Eventually, it fell to Eden Hazard, completing a brace after an incredible solo strike early on, but host James Jones and regular accomplices Christy Malyan and Chris McMullan were more impressed with Manuel Pellegrini’s ability to change things up at half time and give the Hammers a chance of getting back into the match.

And the subject of Hazard’s brilliance nicely led into this week’s Fixture in Focus, the Blues this time travelling to Anfield to take on title hopefuls Liverpool.

There’s a common theme both clubs share this season - a lack of dynamism and goal threat in midfield.

While Jordan Henderson highlighted how Jurgen Klopp has probably misused him for much of the last few seasons with a fantastic goal against Southampton last Friday, the #FIFpod crew also questioned why Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been only a bit-part player for Chelsea this season.

This week’s agenda also included the ambiguity over handball situations, especially in the penalty area, coughing, and cheese.
