Micah Richards has revealed that he’s keen to return to the Premier League this summer when his loan deal at Fiorentina comes to an end.
The 13-time England international is currently away from Manchester City on a temporary deal, but looks unlikely to head back to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season with his contract due to expire.
However, a return to his homeland does appear to be a possibility, with both Liverpool and West Ham interested in the powerful defender, who was once hailed as one of Europe’s best emerging enforcers before injury dented his development.
And with his future very much on the agenda, Richards told talkSPORT that a Premier League move appeals to him:
“Everyone wants to play in the Premier League, it’s still the best league in the world and the most entertaining.” He said.
“I just want to go somewhere where I’m going to play the most.
“Every footballer can go to a bigger club on a free contract but for me, I’m still only 26 and I just want to play every game, that’s what’s important.”
However, Richards also confirmed that there’s interest in his signature from Inter Milan and that staying in Italy is something he would consider:
“I wouldn’t mind staying in Italy because we’re doing well at the moment.
“I’ve been linked with Inter Milan with my old manager Roberto Mancini, so I have a few options.”
