Nothing can stop Southampton at the moment! The Saints started the day four points off of Chelsea in top spot and were sitting pretty in second place. However, it didn’t take long for things to get even better for Ronald Koeman’s side with Victor Wanyama giving the south coast side an early lead against Hull City.
The former Celtic midfielder – who was a reported transfer target for Arsenal during his time in Scotland – scored a Goal of the Month contender, capitalising on some poor Hull City defending to fire his side into the lead.
The Kenyan now has three goals from just six shots on target this season which is wonderfully efficient and some food for thought for all you Fantasy Football managers out there.
