Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal and Luis Suarez of Barcelona are two footballers most managers would love to have in their team; the duo’s work ethic, eye for goal and all round play is up there with the best – in fairness, they probably are *the* best at doing what they do.
The Uruguayan international was in fact Arsenal’s summer signing’s replacement at the Nou Camp – or, more to the point, Sanchez was sold to make way for Suarez’s arrival – and both players are enjoying a fine start at their respective new clubs.
13 goals and 10 assists from 22 appearances in all competitions for Luis Suarez is a great return, with Alexis Sanchez bagging 18 goals and eight assists from 33 appearances for Arsene Wenger’s side. Not bad stats at all.
The similarities in style of play and the fact Sanchez used to play for Barcelona mean we can forgive this commentator for his embarrassing cock-up tonight, right? Right…!
The RTE commentator earlier tonight. Big fan of Suarez. https://t.co/JHGxLneAOQ
