Fulham are close to agreeing a £5million deal for Besiktas goalkeeper Fabri, according to The Sun.

What's the story?

The 30-year-old joined Besiktas in 2016 from Deportivo La Coruna and has gone on to make 66 appearances for the Turkish club in the Super Lig.

Fabri will become the Cottagers' third signing of the summer after Jean-Michel Seri and Maxime Le Marchand moved to Fulham from Nice.

Following the departure of David Button to Brighton, who made 20 appearances for Fulham last season, Fabri will provide competition to Marcus Bettinelli for the no.1 jersey.

More good news for Fulham fans

Following the magnificent signing of Seri, Fulham fans have another reason to be pleased with the transfer window with the shrewd acquisition of Fabri.

The goalkeeper has a lot of experience to offer and will provide a safe pair of hands to rival 26-year-old Bettinelli between the sticks.

It's unclear yet who will be Slavisa Jokanovic's no.1 next season but competition for places can only be a good thing as Fulham make the step up to the top flight.
