There is always a lot of debate in football. Whether it be in the pub between friends or on the TV between pundits paid millions to broadcast their views and analysis to the football public.

One of the best slots on analysis in the days after the weekend’s matches is Monday Night Football on Sky Sports. After sacking the once ever present Richard Keys and Andy Gray on the programme, Sky turned to a new presenting team of Ed Chamberlain and one of the players from Manchester United’s true glory days- Gary Neville. This season, they have added staunch scouser Jamie Carragher into the mix. This move has not only enhanced the viewing experience but it also brings a bit of banter to the programme.

In last week’s showing, Jamie Carragher proclaimed that ‘no kid wants to grow up and be a right back like Gary Neville’. This week, it seemed that former club rivalries were playing out in the studio- judging by Neville’s face when Carragher expressed his opinion that Steven Gerrard has always been a better midfielder than Paul Scholes. The picture of Gary Neville’s face reacting to Carrgher’s admission should come with a health warning, but we decided to show you the horror anyway…

Who is your preference, Gerrard or Scholes?
