Arsenal will have to pay well over the odds for Benfica starlet Goncalo Guedes, according to talkSPORT.
The 17-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a lucrative deal that will keep him at the Portuguese club until 2019.
And the player’s agent has even negotiated a huge £40million release clause in this contract, which all but ends Arsenal’s hopes of signing the winger for a bargain in the coming months.
Guedes’ agent Paulo Rodrigues said: “”Guedes has a contract until 2019 and a release clause of 50 million euros.
“Several clubs want the player, but no one is willing to meet Benfica’s demands and they don’t want to sell him. His dream is to succeed with Benfica, I think he can become stronger than Cristiano Ronaldo.”
