Chelsea have been remarkable in the last month or so, keeping four consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League and scoring for fun, with the Blues rising to second in the table.
Antonio Conte deserves credit for the work he has done so far with Chelsea but the players themselves also deserve recognition, with Eden Hazard amongst those who have benefitted from a change in their individual attitude.
Having previously been criticised for not shooting enough, Hazard has improved this season to become a real threat in front of goal and data courtesy of EA Sports shows he’s had three-times as many shots so far this term when compared to the same stage last year.
Taking a shot every 34 minutes this season, compared to every 68 minutes last term, Hazard has maintained his accuracy and boasts 67% shot accuracy- but the most telling statistic is that fact one in four of Hazard’s attempts in the Premier League this season has found the back of the net.
Hazard boasts seven Premier League goals so far and averages a goal every 131 minutes in the Premier League this season, which is a fantastic conversion rate and one that the Belgian will hope he maintains throughout the course of the year.
