Harry Kane has been in superb form for Tottenham Hotspur this season – well, in the Europa League – with five goals from his four starts in the competition – this included a goal for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in last night’s game against Asteras Tripolis.
The 21-year-old’s better than a goal-a-game in the Europa League has led to calls from Spurs fans, and neutrals, for the former Southampton manager to ditch Emmanuel Adebayor from his starting line-up in favour of the young Englishman. As of yet, Kane is yet to get a start in the Premier League this season, although that may change following his late minute heroics against Aston Villa in the last round of fixtures in England’s top flight.
Two paragraphs in, and this feels like a rather positive article on Kane, right? Well, wrong! Because look at what Harry did last night! This must be the reason why Pochettino continues to opt for Adebayor in the bigger competitions!
