HYS: Should Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain start vs Arsenal?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain still hasn’t convinced everybody he’s worth the £35million transfer fee Liverpool paid for his services during the summer, but the England international’s improvement on Merseyside is hard to ignore.

The midfielder’s five starts in the Premier League for Liverpool have produced one goal and two assists and his best performance to date for the Reds came last weekend, when he was the Man of the Match in a 4-0 demolition of Bournemouth.

But Jurgen Klopp has nothing if not a vast selection of options to choose from in central midfield this season; namely Jordan Henderson, Emre Can, Georginio Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho, James Milner and of course, Oxlade-Chamberlain.

So, Liverpool fans, would you start the 24-year-old – who Transfermarkt value at £27million – against former club Arsenal when Klopp’s side travel to the Emirates Stadium on Friday night, or does another midfielder deserve the chance instead? Let us know by voting below…
