Liverpool are heading into this weekend’s clash with reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in relatively poor form.In their last three matches in all competitions, the Reds have suffered two defeats and a draw.

Having been tipped as the side with the greatest chance of challenging Pep Guardiola’s men for the league title, Liverpool must get back to their best soon. If they aren’t at the top of their game on Sunday, then City will almost certainly inflict a first league defeat of the season upon the Anfield faithful.

In order to stand any chance of claiming all three points this weekend, Liverpool have to gain control of the midfield. For that reason, Jurgen Klopp must consider giving Fabinho his first Premier League action of the campaign and include the big money summer buy from Monaco in his starting XI.

The five-cap Brazil international ought to take the place of Henderson in the Liverpool side. The England man has struggled for form so far this season and would likely find it hard to cope in the fast-paced environment that City will seek to make sure the middle of the park becomes.

What do you think, Liverpool fans – should Fabinho or Henderson start against City on Sunday?
